As we woke nice and early and left our supermarket car park we were excited to board the ferry and head to the Lofoten Archipelago, Lofoten was a must for us, since we planned this trip we knew we wanted to head to that part of Norway, we were enticed buy the huge mountains, gorgeous fjords and picturesque villages.
As we have spent the last 3 months in the Scandinavian and Arctic winter in a van we feel like we've learnt a lot of lessons we would like to share with you guys!
This episode shows us living deep within the arctic circle on the Lofoten archipelago in our van. One of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. The wintery landscapes were breathtaking and like none we had ever seen. The weather was unforgiving at times and we had some ups and downs along the way!
14th January, we made our way into Norway, Another quick stop at Karin and Hans' for a cup of tea then onwards to the border, by the time we made it darkness was already upon us, days were still annoyingly short, so we had to do the best we could and soldier on through into the mountains.
This Video shows our route up to the arctic circle from Trondheim up the E6 to the Lofoten isles. Encapsulating beautiful scenery and some of the harshest weather we have had yet, as soon as we arrived we fell in love with Norway.
