Leaving our Workaway in Kautokieno we headed west, towards another Norwegian town named Karasjok, we filled up the van with diesel and headed across the border into Finland for our long trip south,

Before we knew it we had arrived in the small town of Kautokieno, a small village in the heart of the tundranous landscape. Sprawling with rolling hills and silver birch. We were eager to see what relationship we would build with this town over the coming weeks.
We spent a month living with Sami reindeer herders in Finnmark, the coldest place in Norway high above the arctic circle. We had the best four weeks and learnt so much from the Sami way of life. Experiencing -36 degree temperatures and 3 hour snow mobile rides was just the tip of the iceberg
