14th January, we made our way into Norway, Another quick stop at Karin and Hans' for a cup of tea then onwards to the border, by the time we made it darkness was already upon us, days were still annoyingly short, so we had to do the best we could and soldier on through into the mountains.
This Video shows our route up to the arctic circle from Trondheim up the E6 to the Lofoten isles. Encapsulating beautiful scenery and some of the harshest weather we have had yet, as soon as we arrived we fell in love with Norway.
Our final weeks in Sweden before heading across the border into Norway, this video includes icy ditches, skating on frozen lakes in nature reserves and plenty of beautiful scenery from the heart of Sweden, along with Swedens biggest waterfall.
We left Hans and Karins on New Year’s Eve to head west to Åre. Åre is a ski town in the middle of Sweden, we were told it was the place to be with people coming from the UK and Stockholm to spend their weekends skiing whilst staying in posh hotels and ski chalets so we thought we should give it a try and enjoy ourselves there and see in the new year in style.
