WWII Flare Cartridge Tins
These tins are a little piece of history.
Used in World War Two these tins held signal flares for a pistol flare gun. There was three different variations in colour which is listed on the front of each tin and the colours would have been used together in different combinations to create different signals.
Each colour has its own shape which is embossed on the tops of the tins so that soldiers could feel which colour they were using during darkness.
These tins are fascinating and each one shows different wear and tear. These could be used for decorational purposes, to hold secret treasures or could even be used as desk caddy.
Each tin measures 15cm in height, 9cm in width and 3.5cm in depth.
